Maintenance Details :

  • The MS Azure ExpressRoute Team will be conducting scheduled maintenance on the 'MSEE' Microsoft Enterprise edge router for Azure ExpressRoute. This maintenance is essential to ensure the reliability and performance of Azure ExpressRoute services.

  • During this maintenance window, necessary updates and optimizations will be performed to maintain the integrity of the service.

  • An ExpressRoute circuit consists of two BGP sessions (active and redundant) for each peering type between your devices/partner edge and ExpressRoute devices.  MS Azure chose this design to provide increased availability. 

  • During planned maintenance within Azure your ExpressRoute traffic will gracefully switch over to redundant path without any service disruptions provided you are honoring AS-path prepend. 

  • However, if the AS-path prepend is not honored, there may be a brief impact or degradation of services until the traffic switches to the redundant circuit. AS-path prepend,

  • This maintenance may cause problems and we thank you for your understanding as the MS Azure ExpressRoute team works to improve the reliability of Azure ExpressRoute services.
